If You Dare…

One of the most challenging, growing, exciting things I have ever done was to go on a mission trip with Reign Ministries. I have not been on a mission trip in a few years but I really hope that Hans [my AMAZING soon to be husband] and I can go on a trip together soon.
Royal Servants is such a challenging life altering experience. When I went on the trip I memorized verses and was challenged and encouraged continually in my faith. This organization has things so right as they talk about the foundations of the Christian faith and help those who go on the trips to own there faith and grow at any point in your relationship with God.
If you are interested at all in doing a missions trip I would so encourage you to check out this amazing organization. If you aren’t interested in the trip I would still encourage checking out the organization because it so encourages me to see what God is doing through youth in the world. What an awesome God we serve! And hey if you are or are not interested in a trip this video is so encouraging to me about staying connected to Christ.

A Tribute to some Blogs I LOVE right now.

Many of these blogs help me to think of awesome ideas for my wedding and fun ways to make dinner more interesting and they inspire me to have more fun, be more creative and to keep exploring the creative possibilities of the spaces around me. So without further ado, here are the links to some incredible doses of amazing:

I cannot help but adore Hank and Hunt.
This blog is brilliant and inspires me to use my artistic skills in the kitchen.

This wedding blog is so refreshing fun and innovative!
They have so many pieces that seem to get me right in the heart and make my creativity want to explode all over the place in a good way.

So I can attempt to say precious a million times over without sounding monotonous but I tend to think I would fail in that endeavor. Postcards and Pretties is such a great use of your time! So what are you waiting for? Click on the link! Just kidding that was demanding, plus I still have some more blogs to rave about.

There is such a great variety on The Loveliest Day. I would not of found this sight on my own but now that I have thought the help of another blog, I am hooked. The Loveliest day continuously has gems to look at. One of my favorite blog posts I have seen is of the farm wedding with the precious baby goats on their blog page.... blog... whatever  you call it... wonderful.

Black Eiffel really has nothing to do with wedding things but the name alone had me.
However once I got to the sight I was blown away!
The posts are fun and continually bring new ideas to my mind.

A Cup of Jo is written with great voice.
Each time I read this blog I feel so at home.
She addresses her readers as lovies or lovelies.
This is something I had picked up from some friends a few years
back but hearing it in writing just warms my heart.
This blog also had really rad giveaways on Wendesday's or Tuesdays.
I can never remember.

I hope you all check out these wonderful blogs and love them as much and more than I do!
Amusez-vous!

Happy Easter

I made this cake yesterday and today and drew the things that are on the cake... the rabbit and such. I love the rabbit's umbrella. Probably because I love umbrellas and I also love rabbits.
Happy Easter Everyone! Praise God that Jesus is risen and with us! I am so glad to have God in my life!

Invitations

Invitations are being put in the mail! I am happy to say that they are all back from the printer and gotprint.com did an awesome job! I drew all the invitations and then formatted them accordingly on the computer before sending them off to be mass produced so to speak.
I edited out personal details for obvious reasons BUT making these has been a wonderful experience.
I'm so glad I was able to pour out my creativity on these invitations!
I hope that all you lovelies enjoy this little sample of my wedding madness

O I love the Bunny.

I don't know about all of you but I am SO ready for summer! Unfortunately for me it snowed in the past week and dashed my dreams of the lovely yellow dress I was planning to wear for Easter. I am still hoping to take some time out of my busy painting schedule this weekend to be able to decorate the house or cookies in a festive manor for Easter! Easter is my favorite Holiday for a lot of reasons. The resurrection of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ along with the forgiveness of my sins clearly takes the cake BUT second and an added bonus which comes from the commercial side of Easter, rabbits. Bunnies are my FAVORITE animal and have been since I was little. I have had pet rabbits through the years and as a little girl I was given a stuffed animal bunny which I cleverly named Rab-Rab. Next time I am home I'll have to try and find a picture of Rab-Rab and I. Anyways. To celebrate my favorite animal here are some of my favorite Rabbit pictures drawings and movie clips.

An Artist who goes by the name of MarkH89 on Flicker drew the three above bunnies.
I LOVE his various styles and sketches of the bunny.
Many of his other works are very enjoyable as well!

Bunny Snacks

Annie's Snacks come shaped like rabbits and they aren't just snacks!
There are cereals, pastas and all of it is healthy and delicious.
Not only do I love Annie's snacks and their adorable shapes
I am so grateful they were invented because
for people with certain allergies these snacks are a dream come true.
I usually buy my Annie's bunnies at the local grocery store but you can get them online too:

Annie's website even has coloring pages! Fun!

I found this fun cupcake idea as a use for Annie's bunnies
on "No Fuss Fabulous" and added the link below the picture:

Bunny News

This story is about a fabulously large bunny!

Bunny Presents

Bunnykins- These plates bowls and figurines were a favorite gift of mine from my grandparents when I was growing up. I still love these but do not own any of my own at present I hope to again someday.

The Tale of Peter Rabbit- This book is by Beatrix Potter and is fabulously illustrated along with a wonderful story that I have long loved.

The Velveteen Rabbit- I cannot help but love this book. I would read it with Rab-Rab often as a child.

Anyways, now that I am done with this trip down memory lane I am going to get some celebrating on and try to bake some Easter goodies! I'm thinking of trying some new recipes! Wish me luck!

Also if any of you have any fun recipes you like for Easter, I would love to hear about them :)

Blaise Pascal

The Pensees by Blaise Pascal are a wonderful look into the mind of a brilliant young French philosopher from the 1600's.  You don't have to be in France to enjoy this treasure however I would absolutely encourage reading through the Pensees with some French bread and baked brie cheese to dip the French bread in. I like baking my brie with brown sugar on it. YUM!

My first suggestion is to either check this book out from the library or order it/buy it from a store BUT to get you started here are some of Blaise's thoughts to make you think:

"The heart has its reasons which reason knows not." - Blaise Pascal

"Every Religion is false which, as to its faith, does not worship one God as the origin of everything and which, as to its morality, does not love one only God as the object of everything."-#487 Blaise Pascal

"The feeble-minded are people who know the truth, but only affirm it so far as consistent with their own interest. But, apart from that they renounce it." -#583 Pascal

"What is the Ego?
Suppose a man puts himself at a window to see those who pass by. If I pass by, can I say that he placed himself there to see me? No; for he does not think of me in particular. But deoes he who loves someone on account of beauty really love that person? No; for the small-pox, which will kill beauty without killing the person, will cause him to love her no more.
An if one loves me for my judgement, memory, he does not love me, for I can lose these qualities without losing myself. Where, then, is this Ego, if it be neither in the body nor in the soul? And how love the body or the soul, except for these qualities which do not constitute me since they are perishable? For it is impossible and would be unjust to love the soul of a person in the abstract and whatever qualities might be therein. We never, then, love a person but only qualities.
Let us, then, jeer no more at those who are honored on account of rank and office; for we love a person only on account of borrowed qualities" -#323 Pascal

Hope you've enjoyed these Pensees, I would love to hear what your pensees are about them :]

Dinner Date

Above is the back of one of the menus.
Tonight I asked Hans to have a dinner date with me...
I wish I'd taken a picture of the invitation I gave him to the dinner but O well... bummer.
I guess I'll have to try and remember than next time.
For now here's a picture of the menu and some of the food...

Above are the grilled cheese tunafish sandwiches and below are the Kiwi and Mango! People kept mentioning that Mango is really good this time of year and after tasting it I would have to agree!

Below is the menu I made for Hans.
I told him that he could pick something else if he wanted
He seemed pleased with the options though and we enjoyed
a very yummy and good looking meal
