Invitations

Invitations are being put in the mail! I am happy to say that they are all back from the printer and gotprint.com did an awesome job! I drew all the invitations and then formatted them accordingly on the computer before sending them off to be mass produced so to speak.
I edited out personal details for obvious reasons BUT making these has been a wonderful experience.
I'm so glad I was able to pour out my creativity on these invitations!
I hope that all you lovelies enjoy this little sample of my wedding madness

O I love the Bunny.

I don't know about all of you but I am SO ready for summer! Unfortunately for me it snowed in the past week and dashed my dreams of the lovely yellow dress I was planning to wear for Easter. I am still hoping to take some time out of my busy painting schedule this weekend to be able to decorate the house or cookies in a festive manor for Easter! Easter is my favorite Holiday for a lot of reasons. The resurrection of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ along with the forgiveness of my sins clearly takes the cake BUT second and an added bonus which comes from the commercial side of Easter, rabbits. Bunnies are my FAVORITE animal and have been since I was little. I have had pet rabbits through the years and as a little girl I was given a stuffed animal bunny which I cleverly named Rab-Rab. Next time I am home I'll have to try and find a picture of Rab-Rab and I. Anyways. To celebrate my favorite animal here are some of my favorite Rabbit pictures drawings and movie clips.

An Artist who goes by the name of MarkH89 on Flicker drew the three above bunnies.
I LOVE his various styles and sketches of the bunny.
Many of his other works are very enjoyable as well!

Bunny Snacks

Annie's Snacks come shaped like rabbits and they aren't just snacks!
There are cereals, pastas and all of it is healthy and delicious.
Not only do I love Annie's snacks and their adorable shapes
I am so grateful they were invented because
for people with certain allergies these snacks are a dream come true.
I usually buy my Annie's bunnies at the local grocery store but you can get them online too:

Annie's website even has coloring pages! Fun!

I found this fun cupcake idea as a use for Annie's bunnies
on "No Fuss Fabulous" and added the link below the picture:

Bunny Presents

Bunnykins- These plates bowls and figurines were a favorite gift of mine from my grandparents when I was growing up. I still love these but do not own any of my own at present I hope to again someday.

The Tale of Peter Rabbit- This book is by Beatrix Potter and is fabulously illustrated along with a wonderful story that I have long loved.

The Velveteen Rabbit- I cannot help but love this book. I would read it with Rab-Rab often as a child.

Anyways, now that I am done with this trip down memory lane I am going to get some celebrating on and try to bake some Easter goodies! I'm thinking of trying some new recipes! Wish me luck!

Also if any of you have any fun recipes you like for Easter, I would love to hear about them :)

Blaise Pascal

The Pensees by Blaise Pascal are a wonderful look into the mind of a brilliant young French philosopher from the 1600's.  You don't have to be in France to enjoy this treasure however I would absolutely encourage reading through the Pensees with some French bread and baked brie cheese to dip the French bread in. I like baking my brie with brown sugar on it. YUM!

My first suggestion is to either check this book out from the library or order it/buy it from a store BUT to get you started here are some of Blaise's thoughts to make you think:

"The heart has its reasons which reason knows not." - Blaise Pascal

"Every Religion is false which, as to its faith, does not worship one God as the origin of everything and which, as to its morality, does not love one only God as the object of everything."-#487 Blaise Pascal

"The feeble-minded are people who know the truth, but only affirm it so far as consistent with their own interest. But, apart from that they renounce it." -#583 Pascal

"What is the Ego?
Suppose a man puts himself at a window to see those who pass by. If I pass by, can I say that he placed himself there to see me? No; for he does not think of me in particular. But deoes he who loves someone on account of beauty really love that person? No; for the small-pox, which will kill beauty without killing the person, will cause him to love her no more.
An if one loves me for my judgement, memory, he does not love me, for I can lose these qualities without losing myself. Where, then, is this Ego, if it be neither in the body nor in the soul? And how love the body or the soul, except for these qualities which do not constitute me since they are perishable? For it is impossible and would be unjust to love the soul of a person in the abstract and whatever qualities might be therein. We never, then, love a person but only qualities.
Let us, then, jeer no more at those who are honored on account of rank and office; for we love a person only on account of borrowed qualities" -#323 Pascal

Hope you've enjoyed these Pensees, I would love to hear what your pensees are about them :]

Dinner Date

Above is the back of one of the menus.
Tonight I asked Hans to have a dinner date with me...
I wish I'd taken a picture of the invitation I gave him to the dinner but O well... bummer.
I guess I'll have to try and remember than next time.
For now here's a picture of the menu and some of the food...

Above are the grilled cheese tunafish sandwiches and below are the Kiwi and Mango! People kept mentioning that Mango is really good this time of year and after tasting it I would have to agree!

Below is the menu I made for Hans.
I told him that he could pick something else if he wanted
He seemed pleased with the options though and we enjoyed
a very yummy and good looking meal

Next I've got to Rave about something that can be found at Bed, Bath, & Beyond. This Super Cute French Coffee Press is so cool that I want one even though I don't drink coffee! This particular deal is exactly what I'm planning to get my little sister and one of my close friends before they head off to college and internships! I am sure it will be a hit!

Tunes... Well of course an iTunes card is nice BUT Jon Bryant's c-d "Two Coasts for Comfort" is such a win. Lately the song Seattle has been stuck in my heart! That is a good thing btw. It can be found on Amazon and you can listen to the music on myspace as well. This Canadian man has such a dreamy voice it's just the thing for Valentines even if you're getting it for yourself! I have a fiance and I just might get myself this one! It is just that good! Plus it can be nice to roll old school and get the c-d.

BOOKS!!! I have recently become a huge fan of this lovely site called betterworldbooks.com
Why you ask?
WELL! All the money spent goes towards literacy programs AND there is ALWAYS Free Shipping!
Not only is this a great place to get books but I have a great book recommendation as well! Two in fact! First is A Severe Mercy by Sheldon Vanauken. I have and probably always will have a fascination with this book. Secondly, Crazy Love by Francis Chan... this one has been popular for a while, I was pretty skeptical of it BUT this book is a very much win! I would highly recommend it and in fact I am right now!

These are just a few ideas. Hopefully they can get the ball rolling for you!
Different gifts are best for different people!
These might not be good for that special someone in your life BUT please don't cop out and get a box of chocolates that only has one truly edible flavor.
Happy Valentines day!

Insanity and College Go Hand in Hand like a Happily Dating High School Couple

So This week I have the wonderful privilege of writing an essay, doing a group presentation, taking two midterms. Taking one final and doing a lab! I also get to start premarital training, go to work and try to maintain some minute sense of sanity. Should be fun!
I would take all the prayers I can get! I keep remembering that God says not to worry. In Matthew 6:34 it says, "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." I have not been spending the time in the bible that I need to lately but I am so grateful for the reminder that God is faithful even when I am not. The knowledge that the list of things that I need to make happen this week are all accounted for in God's plans. My job is to trust in the Lord, spend time with Him and to WORK for Him and to the best of my ability! Sometimes that is really scary to just sit back and trust but I know that God is so worth it and He can handle all my concerns!

On a side note, Hans and I got on the Save the Date Video's for our wedding! AWESOME! It feels so nice to have that taken care of :)
